A FRENCH BOULLE LONGCASE Circa. 1870


A superb red tortoishell boulle longcase clock with detailed panels to the case front and sides. Gilt ormolu case mounts with ebonised borders and a pendulum aperture. A well cast dial with individual enamel numeral cartouches. A 14 day duration movement striking the hours on a bell.

French boulle longcase clocks are uncommon and this is a high quality example.
